FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Boost Oxygen?

Boost Oxygen is Pure Oxygen that comes in lightweight, easy to use, and portable canisters. It is used by people visiting high altitude locations, professional and amateur athletes, senior citizens, and famous celebrities alike. Founded in 2007, Boost Oxygen is currently the best selling and most trusted oxygen canister brand in the world.

Why Aromatherapy scents?

Boost Oxygen comes in natural and three aromatherapy fragrances (all natural ingredients) – pink grapefruit, peppermint and menthol. Aromatherapy is the art and science of using naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit.

Where can I buy Boost Oxygen?

Boost Oxygen can be purchased online, directly through us. CLICK HERE to view our store or see a list of Retailers Here.

Why is it light?

Oxygen gas is virtually weightless. Boost Oxygen sealed cans are very light, but they are guaranteed as full. The weight of a full can feels empty as the Oxygen inside has no discernible mass. This weight advantage makes Boost Oxygen cans convenient to carry around.

What is the advantage to using a mask?

The ergonomic mask was designed and patented by Boost Oxygen to provide a convenient apparatus that can be operated by using only one hand. It also directs the oxygen flow efficiently into the mouth or nose.

How do I increase the oxygen flow when I first use the can?

To increase the initial flow, simply move your finger up the trigger to the base of the mask (towards your nose) and push down from there.

How many inhalations are in a Boost Oxygen canister?

The 3 Liter Pocket Size Boost Oxygen canisters equate to approximately 60 seconds of continuous oxygen flow. Medium Boost Oxygen canisters contain 5 liters of Aviator’s Breathing Oxygen, which is up to 100 one-second inhalations. Large Boost Oxygen canisters contain 10 liters of Aviator’s Breathing Oxygen, which equates to over 200 seconds of continuous oxygen flow, or over 200 one-second inhalations.

What are the instructions for use?

Place mask under nose and over mouth. Press trigger down to activate flow. Breath in through the mouth and hold 1-2 seconds, exhaling normally. Repeat 3-5 times or as needed.

How do I know when I need to replace my Boost Oxygen canister?

Boost Oxygen is pressure filled only into the can (sort of like a tire). No aerosols or propellants are used. As the can depletes, the pressure of the oxygen flow from the can will also deplete until finally empty. When the oxygen no longer flows, the can is empty.

Is Boost Oxygen flammable?

No. Oxygen is not a fuel itself, but when combined with a fuel and ignition, it can serve to accelerate the chemical reaction.

Can I use Boost Oxygen if I have a lung condition?

Boost Oxygen is not a substitute for individuals who have been prescribed Medical Oxygen (99% purity) for health reasons. It is solely intended for recreational use.

Boost Oxygen states that it is “NOT for medical or prescription use.” What does this mean?

Oxygen therapies that are prescribed by a medical doctor to treat medical conditions are completely different from Boost Oxygen. Boost Oxygen is recreational Oxygen, not USP medical oxygen. Although both are produced in the same manner, recreational oxygen is designed for healthy people looking to experience the benefits of recreational oxygen in the different facets of their life. It is not intended for use by anyone who has asthma, lung ailments or heart problems, or as a substitute for physician-prescribed or life-saving oxygen.

Can I take Boost Oxygen on a passenger plane?

Although Boost Oxygen is an all-natural and safe product, the FAA and TSA do not allow recreational oxygen in carry-on or checked baggage.

See TSA Guidelines for canned oxygen.

Can I ship Boost Oxygen canisters?

You can ship by ground in the continental United States, but not by air.
